SOLUTION: Ketamine Infusion
Sub anesthetic infusions of ketamine are increasingly being used to help manage mental health conditions. Research continues to show the beneficial effects of ketamine in treating depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic disorder and anxiety. Though, not completely understood how ketamine produces anti-depressant activity, it works to suppress NMDA receptor activity.
An evaluation by a mental health professional is required prior to starting ketamine infusion therapy. If you have previously had ketamine, we will have you sign a release of medical records. We can then verify diagnoses and provide a safe transition of care.
Initiation Period
Six infusions are given in two weeks. Each infusion takes 40 minutes. Plan to be at the clinic 2-3hrs.
Booster Infusions/Maintenance
Booster infusions are on an as needed basis. The booster infusions typically last 2-5 weeks, but occasionally can last up to three months.
